Just Right!

Last week one of the first grade guided reading groups created a poster as a culminating activity for their week long study of the book Just Right! The book was about a Raccoon who tries to guess his who or what his nee neighbor will be.

La semana pasada uno de los grupos de primer grado de lectura guiada creado un cartel con broche de oro para su estudio la semana del libro el correcto! El libro trataba de un mapache que se trata de adivinar el qué o quién a su vecino nee será.

Making pictures in our head

We have been talking about "making movies" and "taking pictures" in our head as we read. During independent reading the kids have been using post-it-notes to mark pages in their readings that made them envision how things smell, taste, and feel.

Hemos estado hablando de "hacer películas" y "la toma de fotografías" en nuestra cabeza al leer. Durante la lectura independiente de los niños han estado utilizando post-it-notas adhesivas para marcar las páginas de sus lecturas que les hizo imaginar cómo las cosas olfato, el gusto y sentir.

SmartBoard Tech

The children have enjoyed using the SmartBoard this year in the classroom. The SmartBoard is an interactive whiteboard used for classroom instruction. In the pictures above the children are watching a science lesson on parts of a plant. The children are able to view the parts of the plants and record their findings in their science notebooks while the teacher is able to interactively instruct the students through the SmartBoard.

Los niños han disfrutado con el SmartBoard este año en el aula. El SmartBoard es una pizarra interactiva utilizada para instrucción en el aula. En las imágenes por encima de los niños están viendo una clase de ciencias en las partes de una planta. Los niños son capaces de ver las partes de las plantas y registrar sus resultados en sus cuadernos de ciencias, mientras que el profesor es capaz de instruir a los estudiantes de forma interactiva a través de la SmartBoard.

Rhymes in our Readers Response Notebooks

Today during word study we used our reading response notebooks to chart rhyming words that we found during our rhyming word match game. The children enjoyed writing their findings in the notebook. The reader response notebook will become a valuable tool during literacy instruction.

Hoy, durante el estudio de palabras que utilizamos nuestras computadoras portátiles de respuesta de lectura para trazar las palabras que riman que encontramos durante el juego de rimas palabra coinciden. Los niños disfrutaron de sus conclusiones por escrito en el cuaderno. El portátil se convertirá en la respuesta del lector una valiosa herramienta en la alfabetización.
